I'm not sure where someone gets the coordination to do something like this. I have a difficult time tapping my head and rubbing my belly at the same time. But this guy can actually pull off playing a piano with one hand and a trumpet in the other. And he does both amazingly well!
Georges Melies would have been so proud of this guy. Check out this amazing stop-motion (sort of) video of him doing a crazy dance. The music is pretty up-tempo, but his dance is on a whole other level. He turns it all the way up to eleven with some disturbing hip-thrusts about half way into the video.
I'm not sure what's going on with the horse mask though. But it was probably a wise decision, because I can see this video going viral very quickly. If he wasn't wearing a mask, this would likely be a little embarrassing.
What do you think of this little movie? The best thing about stop-motion filming is that anybody can do it. So if your camera has a pause button, and you think you can do better than this guy, why not whip up a video and see what you can do!
This song "Love Letter to Japan" by the Bird and the Bee is super popular these days, and it's one of the most infectious tunes that I've heard in a long time. That said, I'm very curious to head what you guys think about it.
Is it too infectious? Is it one of those annoying songs that you can't get out of your head like Tom's Diner?
What do you think of the little part near the end where they try their hand at singing in Japanese? Let us know what you think below.
For now, I have to say that I like it. But I have a feeling that by the end of the day I'm probably going to be banging my head against a brink wall trying to get the noise out. It's stuck in there pretty good already!
Somewhere Kurt Cobain is rolling over in his grave. Check out this bunch of famous punk songs on youtube, sung in cute Japanese-ish Anime-ish voices. The band is Pun-Colle, and their music is strangely addictive.
Check out their rendition of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit:
Or even better than that, their cover of the Offspring's Pretty Fly for a White Guy:
Check their rendition of Green Day's Basket Case as well. Like the rest of these songs, it's pretty insane! I'd like to hear your thoughts, so be sure to tell me what you think in the comments.
While a wooden guitar is nothing new, an electric guitar carved into the shape of a dragon is pretty damn astounding. Check out the photo below:
This is nothing short of amazing. Check out the detail on the lower head portion. The artist must have put in a lot of hours on this one. The tail wraps around over the fretboard, but doesn't seem to impede playing in any way whatsoever. While Japan has never been especially famous for its woodworking, this is certainly a rockin' credit to the nation.
Looks as though it might be a little bit heavy though...
