At about 8am Japan time Mount Asama, a volcano just outside Tokyo, erupted and spewed ash all over the city. Or so says almost every media outlet around the world.
Personally, I didn't see anything. But I'll take their word for it.
It's bad enough that Tokyo has been shaken by mini earthquakes recently, but now there are volcano's to deal with too. While I'm no expert on seismic activity, I suppose both activities are related. It is enough to make anyone nervous, but the great thing about Tokyo is that the city is relatively prepared for this sort of thing. Buildings have more give, and windows have a little bit more gap around them that they don't shatter with slight movement. Smart.
But enough about Mount Asama, and on to other less disturbing bumps:
