Extremely Low-rise Jeans in Japan

If you thought that the bikini jeans in Japan were shocking, wait till you get a load of this. Low-rise jeans appear to be pushing the limits of how low you can go with a pair of jeans. This lady apparently didn't know where to quit.

I mean this is pretty darn low. It's a safe bet that there's muff peeping out the front too. I'm not entirely sure of the physics behind these kind of jeans. How do they stay up? Obviously a belt would not be of any help. Are they just really tight around the legs? If anyone has tried it, drop me a line.

What do you guys think of this? I know it certainly makes bowling a lot more interesting!

Living in the Po' House in Japan is not so bad

I was watching tv the other day, and I happened to see a commercial for a very unfortunately named company. It's a sort of luxury housing company and they look like they do some very impressive work, as you can see from the picture below.

They're called Po Haus.

And I'm sure at some point someone is going to tell them that in America, living in the po' house (i.e. poor house) is not such a good thing. You can check out their website at pohaus.com.

Japanese Commercial: Intel's Bizarre French Chicken

I'm trying to picture what must have been going through the minds of the marketing people at Intel when they came up with this... I figure it must have went something like this:

"Ok guys, we need a really catchy marketing gimmick this quarter. Does anyone have any ideas?"

"Well, I think a giant dancing French chicken is the best way to promote our new centrino processors."

"That's brilliant Tanaka-san! You're getting a promotion!"

The ads are all over television stations, and now their website is not the latest victim of enormous promotional poultry. Here's a quick look:

Ever wonder what it would have been like if Iraq had been invaded by bunny rabbits instead of the United States of America?

No? Me neither...

But apparently somebody in Japan has been wondering about it. And wondering long enough that they decided to make an animated series. Radies and gentlemen, I present Cat Shit One:

Scheduled for release this winter, Cat Shit One is easily one of the strangest movie titles to come out in a long time. I mean, why cats? Why not Rabbit Shit One? Isn't the movie filled with rabbits? In situations like this, I eventually find that it's best not to wonder about these things because there is no answer that makes sense besides the ever-popular: "Only in Japan!"

Video of Tibet Beating Online, China blocks Youtube

From our sister blog, Cool Stuff from China comes a video that is anything but cool. It's quite disturbing actually. A clip on Youtube shows Tibetans on the ground being savagely beaten by Chinese police.

I have to warn you the video is pretty disturbing, but you can use your discretion and check it out for yourself here if you choose. This video is likely the reason why youtube has been blocked in China over the past few days.

Video: FedEx Plane Crash in Tokyo Japan

While most people are likely busy watching Japan vs the USA baseball game this morning (this evening if you're in America), something far more serious has occurred here in Japan.

News reports of a FedEx plane crash at Tokyo's Narita Airport are all over the internet. The plane, originating from Guangzhou China had difficulties landing because of high winds. Early reports say that two (possibly American) pilots were on board.

Clever Cat Opens Door

Another stupid pet trick for you guys today. Have a look at this ever-so clever cat that has somehow managed to figure out how to open the door for herself (I'm not sure why I'm calling it a she, I just tend to do that with cats!).

Personally, I wish I had a cat like this. She could let herself out to use the bathroom, and I wouldn't even have to get off the sofa. The big challenge, however, would be teaching her to close the door behind her. That might prove to be a little more difficult I'm sure.
